Will always remember Uncle Ed with great fondness. I always enjoyed cooking for him...he had such a huge appetite...and loved cannoli. Rest In Peace,Mr. Doerr!
He was such a kind, generous, and funny man.
He would help you with anything! Including helping me win a twist dance contest at one of the campgrounds when i was a teen because he knew I loved to dance! Miss him.
I have so many fond memories of my Uncle. Despite being the son of a fireman with the RFD HE was afraid if heights and asked me to paint the trim on his house in turn he allowed me the use of his car. He accompanied me when I bought my first new car, a 1968 Mustang upon my discharge from the Air Force. In his later years we played golf together along with his son Brian and grandson Zach. We shared many meals together at our home and loved drinking Manhattans. I will miss our times together, your wit and caring nature. Please hug Aunt Caol for me. RIP
Jim and I called him Dad. We so loved getting together with him. He worked on projects with Ken and Jim in Florida and the camaraderie was lovingly shared by all. I loved visiting with him and most importantly cooking for him. He was so gracious and thankful. Dad 'Ed', you will be sorely missed, going to Florida will never be that same without you. We love you and glad you are at peace.
We mill miss the memories of the times we spent in your home in Geneva. Prayers to all family members. Sincerely, Linda and Glenn Northup
