One night as us little kids were going to sleep I began to cry. Why? I didn't have a Godfather...??? Uncle Herman stepped up and said he would be honored. That made a very sad little girl very happy. He was a very gentle, never raised his voice, loving uncle. He will be missed and loved forever.
