J Ernest Threlkeld
J Ernest Threlkeld Jr. of Palm Coast, FL was born on February 2, 1938 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late J Ernest Sr. and Frances Threlkeld nee Smith. He passed away on October 7, 2012 at his residence in Palm Coast, FL at the age of 74 years.
He graduated from the University of Louisville with a BME Degree, and was a teacher of instrumental music. He taught in the Eminence Independent Schools, Shelbyville Independent Schools, Shelby County Schools, and Jefferson County Schools, all in Kentucky. Ernest was a jazz musician, a car enthusiast, and a retired boat racer. He was the former owner of the Cross Keys Marine in Shelbyville, KY.
He is survived by his son, Miles C. Threlkeld of Newport, KY, brother, James Threlkeld of Bethesda, MD, and partner, Mary Lee of Palm Coast, FL.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Ernest to the Flagler County Art League, P.O. Box 352772, Palm Coast, FL 32164. Plans for a Life Celebration to be held in Kentucky are pending.
All arrangements are under the care of Heritage Cremation, Ormond Beach, FL.
