Joyce was always kind and made sure she greeted me every time I serviced her lawn, offering me coffee or water. She was always very sweet and allowed me to take a break to chat. She will always be remembered.

Joyce was a very lovable woman. I first met Joyce 1 1/2 to 2 years (?) ago as she was standing out on her front lawn looking up. I walked up to her to ask her if she needed help with something. She told me she was wondering how to get a large palm branch off her roof in the back. After exchanging names we walked to the back to take a look and I told her I could fix it. I went home, put my extension ladder in my car and there she was waiting. We went to the back, she did tell me not to fall. She was so, so grateful. From that day on, anytime I saw her sitting on her porch I would stop to chat with her. She always had a great big smile. She could never remember my name, but I knew she remembered me. We talked a lot and she told me how big daddy always gave her the hard jobs around the yard. I told her I had moved here from Pa. to be with my kids. She also talked about a Post Office that used to be a few blocks away? I told her it had moved, she couldn't quite grasp that. Sometimes when it was hot out, I would bring her ice cream. She would be so happy you would think I was giving her a giant gift. She also loved her raisenets. anyway,as time went on I saw a change in her,. By this time I had met Francine who told me she had Dementia. Well, now I started using my phone. Joyce loved listening to the AI babies talking like adults, she was just amazed, even though I tried to tell her it wasn't really them talking. She would laugh so hard at what they were saying. She also had quite the reaction when she listened to comedian s using sensual talk. She would laugh with her hand over her mouth while leaning back in her seat, which of course made me laugh. Joyce was quite the character and the more time I spent with her the closer I got to her. By now I was visiting her at least four times a week, and we were still having fun laughing. I loved Joyce like a family member, and will miss her greatly.
