Jo was such a sweet person and a lot of fun. So sorry for your loss. Pat and Peggy
Though the years we haven’t been so close, yet we were still connected. I can still hear Jo’s infectious laugh. I can imagine she is hugging up her baby girl. Butch, this leaves a heartache no one can heal. Hold tight to your memories, and I am certain you had many joyful ones that will sustain you.
Dear Butch, We are so sorry to hear of the death of your precious wife. Our thoughts and prayers for the comfort that only God can provide are with you and your family. With sincere care and concern, Gary and Michelle Smith
Dear Butch, I am so sorry for your loss of your dear Jo. I have always felt a bond with you both since sharing in the loss of your dear daughter so many years ago when I worked on her portrait. You are in my prayers. May you be filled with strength, peace and love.

Dear Butch,
Please accept my condolences and know you are in my prayers. Oh, how I enjoyed piano tuning day knowing I'd be able to visit with Mary Jo while we listened to you work your magic fingers on the 88 keys! She was much loved and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Your musical friend,
- Donna Klein

Loved Jo laugh a very special lady🙏 My sympathy to Butch and you Sarah sending a hug for the grand babies 😇
Our families met through church and continued after we left the Alpena area. We have many memories of church functions (volleyball, dinners, youth group pasty making fundraisings), kids birthdays, camping/fishing outings and many walks through the years. Jo was kind, loving and always greeted you with a smile. We will honor her memory with a donation to the Alpena Baby Pantry, where she volunteered and surely showed much love to those she encountered. You will be sorely missed, dearest friend.

I will miss Jo's meaningful and encouraging messages. I looked for them each day. Her strong faith was inspiring to those who knew her well.
