Peter Jerome Oliver
Peter “Pete” J. Oliver of Port Orange, FL was born August 1, 1946 in Watertown, NY to the late Leonard P. Oliver and Anne Oliver nee Carroll and passed away April 21, 2015 in Daytona Beach, FL at the age of 68 years.
Pete attended McQuaid Jesuit High School, Rochester, NY and later attended Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. He was married to Carol R. Keem on August 28, 1965 and shared their lives for over 49 blissful years, raising their three children; they moved to the Port Orange area in 1987 after retiring from Eastman Kodak after 21 years of service.
Pete was an avid sports lover, but specifically he loved the NY Yankees, the NY Giants and bowling. Most of all, he was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his brother, Paul G. Oliver.
Pete is survived by his wife, Carol Oliver, sons; Michael E. Oliver and wife Erin, and Timothy P. Oliver Sr. and wife Barbara, one daughter, Susan Usiatynski and husband Bruce. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
