Father Sun departs the periwinkle and violet sky
Mother Moon arrives with the Stars and kisses him goodbye
The end of a day where I worked so hard to accomplish another goal
Slowly I feel the peace within which reaches to my soul
The lights dim slightly, grow soft like moonlight in the room before me
As I take my seat on the sofa beside the ones who most adore me
Light as a feather I feel from limb to limb and head to toe
Warm and cozy near the fireplace as the embers burn and glow
Ordinary things we usually do become our family time
Gathered together to enjoy a little warm bread and cold wine
Amusing the cat as we play along with the game shows on TV
And though I lack health, I have everything else going quite nicely for me
The sensation of ASMR sends tingles down the back of my head
Comfort is waiting for me in my room where I soon will be in my bed
Sleep comes like an angel waiting to carry me away
And the moment I live in becomes more blissful than words could ever say
"Say it in a poem," the angel advises, "if you want the bliss to last
It will be there where you'll find it in the future, present and past"
And I write it down, lest I forget the evening I've been spending
Is due to ADONAI blessing my life with the perfect happy ending.
